N3 Gateway Tourism Association NPC (www.n3gateway.com) is an umbrella association which provides marketing and development support to tourism organisations along the N3 corridor between Durban and Pretoria. The N3 Gateway sees the development of black owned enterprises and infrastructure such as trails as being crucial to the growth and development of rural tourism in South Africa.
The Sappi Trails Programme was initiated in 2011 to assist Sappi and its stakeholders to manage trail events and recreational trail use on Sappi land. The programme’s work focusses on KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga as there are four well developed trail networks in these provinces which traverse Sappi property.
